And answer to the original question, NO.
What question are you answering?

The APA is just one organization that accepts and acknowledges the normalcy of homosexuality.

Maybe try to get the legislature to pass a law granting tax credits to participants of same sex marriage.

I can't imagine anyone who is a member of the APA would say something so naieve. Perhaps you could provide a link to support your statement?

Psychologists working in the prison sytem and in post-release support programs would be well aware of the risk factors for recidivism.

I believe the gay should give up the marriage bit and go for civil unions. Far as I'm concerned marriage is a religious thing, therefore entirely emotion based and shouldn't concern anybody's government. Civil unions should provide for that sharing of benefits, rights and responsibilities.

I'd be okay with civil unions for same-sex couples if same-sex couples were going to be treated EXACTLY the same.

A lot of same-sex couples have issues in hospitals with the staff understanding they have the right to make medical decisions regarding their spouse's health but the staff just doesn't get it when they say, "We have a civil union." People know what being married is but civil union? You get looks like:
