Seems like the only people here who seem to bring up GLBT issues are the gay members, themselves (which is understandable). So, I was just curious about the level of genuine interest and concern for the inequalities that GLBT people face and the plight of GLBTs with regard to civil rights issues and the like.

What civil rights issues? They have the same rights as everyone else

Other than Matthew Shepherd-style tactics, I really could care less about the gay issues. This country has far more pressing issues to be concerned about.

WRONG!!! We don't have the right to get married, unless we are in the few states that allow it.

ZERO ZIP NADDA.

Why should we be concerned about who they want their sex with? Keep it in the bedroom.

I have other more important things to worry about, like my own life and my friends and family.

There has never been a right to homosexual marriage. Why would you want the government involved anyways?

About half the time, gay issues are brought up by anti-gay posters.

Oops - and I voted for "completely apathetic" by mistake. Sorry! I thought it said "completely sympathetic".

Can we please not turn this thread into a shouting match over marriage? It doesn't have to be that way. Practically all of the other gay threads are like that.
