Evolution is about a change in genetics resulting eventually in a new specie. Moving to AZ and developing a tan does not change your genetics or make you a different species. You just proved you have no understanding of evolution or genetics.

Excuse me, but this is the definition of evolve:

[v] acquire or build up traits or characteristics

...according to Princeton's WordNet. Now, are you meaning to tell me that a fetus doesn't evolve over nine months? Grow from looking like a tiny seed (with eyes and a nose and other human features) to a full human? Eh?

Also, are you telling me that any human, not just a fetus, can't acquire or build up traits or characteristics over a period of time? If I move to Arizona, I'll probably develop a tan, and a tolerance for 110-degree heat, right? That's evolution at work. Acquiring the traits needed for living in a new environment, e.g. the fetus's acquiring human features needed for surviving outside the womb (yes, as in sustaining life).

Yes, the green clouds are metaphoric. Marijuana (actually, cannabis) is a green plant. I figured that the pot-loving liberals would know that!

And I know this from growing up in a liberally-funded poor area. I literally walk by a group of 5 people smoking marijuana on my way to school. It actually smells a little bit like H2S, but you have to live in the oilfield to know that smell (kinda rotten-eggy).

If those guys are smoking something tha smells "rotten eggy" they are not smoking anything that remotely resembles marijuana.

What does it matter anyway.

Now, back to your regularly disrupted and hijacked thread...

You make a good point that none of us walking around today were taking notes a bazillion years ago, so it's speculation at its very finest. I see as much ignorance and fear in someone insisting that no Creator could possibly exist as in the guy who carves a deity from a log or assumes thunder is the sound of gods at war. Humans will alway try to explain what they really don't understand. Like Global Warming/ Climate Change, when you can't ask questions without being mocked, something is missing from the "science" and the motives of those promoting these theories should also then be considered. Evolution, regardless of whatever roll it has and/or continues to play in the development of life on Earth, neither necessitates nor excludes a Creator by itself. But the religion of Atheism does require that no Creator exist, so we have "new revelations" from time to time that claim to prove that God doesn't exist. Big deal.

There is no religion of atheism.
In addition, you don't even understand the very limited quote you posted: Chielgirl didn't "insist that no creator could possibly exist", she said the idea that some invisible sky-daddy created the universe is "highly unlikely".
You should remember this, because you will search a long time before you find an atheist who insists that no creator could possibly exist.

Evolution is no more complicated than cause and effect.

It takes a God, however, to get cows to eat sheep.

Or, maybe just greedy agribusiness.

"There is no religion of atheism."

I say there is.

If, as you contend, Atheism isn't a religion, what else would you call it?

atheist - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

Wow.... this thread really veered off course.

to respond to the OP:

When the 'Theory of Evolution' becomes the 'Fact of Evolution', you may claim that "Evolution is a Fact of Life".

It is a theory for a reason. THAT is Science.
Give me a call if you start growing a tail.

Default gravity

The current "theory" regarding gravity is of relativity. Do you question whether gravity is real because the science is based on a "theory"?

How did this turn into a ideological debate?

I mean c'mon isn't a green slug way more exciting than Dems & Repubs locked in an eternal battle over the right to rule that could determine the direction of the most powerful nation on the face of the earth and thus the fate of human civilization and progress as a whole.

I mean c'mon priorities, people, priorities.
