What (or who) are you calling a "Fundie whack job"? True believers?

There are "believing Jews" (those who accept Christ as Messiah). Are they "Fundie whack jobs"? They are far more zealous for the faith than most Christian evangelicals. I have known many. And they have much to teach those of us who are Christian "fundamentalists" ("Fundie whack jobs", as you call them).

Sorry. Your post is extremely offensive.

Debatable. Why did Georgia deserve a seat in NATO?

Certainly they are. So are plain old-fashioned Christian fundies, plain old-fashioned Jewish fundies, and plain old-fashioned Muslim fundies. All. Totally. ****ing. Crazy.

I don't really give a flying damn if saying so hurts your little feelings. Why don't all you holy Joe people just start a little loony-bin colony in Antartica and give the rest of us our planet back?

I think they've tried to work toward peace and found it doesn't work. Why keep trying that which is proven not to work?

What is a "general ethic of life", if not based in a higher moral absolute? It is not something to admire because it is changeable based on situations.
Everyone can have a "general ethic of life" with regard to myriad issues, and none need to agree unless there is common ground from which it arises. That's no different than the wide disagreement we have today on when life begins. Nancy Pelosi has her own "general ethic of life", as we can judge from her actions on the job. Is she admirable?

If one's ethics come from the deep convictions of faith in God, it's another story. But for you to say "it's probably accompanied by 85 other idiotic views" shows where you're coming from. One who has "neither the time nor the inclination" to evaluate it further does indeed appear to be bigotted.

I agree. I am not Jewish, but my hat's off to anyone who works hard and prospers. People who ***** about it need to work harder.

It is a subject of another discussion but if we consider NATO as a symbol of USA ego, that ego would be enhanced with the addition of 2 "pro-American" countries...
Personally,I am against ego & symbolisms & in favour of reality & results, that's why I mention that only Britain & Israel ( &...Palau ) have not betrayed USA (yet)...

On the subject, indeed the Jews have lots of power in the USA political establishment - & rightfully so...
But it is still a disappointment to have the USA gov taking an official stance against new construction in West Bank...

There is no middle ground between the conflict of Jews & Arabs. We must take the right side, all the time...

I think this has been the case for a long time. However, there were a lot of Jewish people in the Bush adminstration who were at one time Democrats and then became republicans, hence the name neo (new) conservatives. They were liberal on social policies but hawkish on war.

The Jewish population has overwhelmingly voted democrat over the years...not to the same degree as the African American community, but certainly more than Republican.
