Such weather doesn't seem to fit with warnings from scientists that the Earth is warming because of greenhouse gases. But experts say the cold snap doesn't disprove global warming at all — it's just a blip in the long-term heating trend."
Which experts? The experts that question the severity of global warming, or the experts that insist that global warming will kill us all (and skew their own data as a hobby)?
See what happens when science is politicized? No one trusts it anymore.
You're right, the earth is warming. If we don't spend/give away $40 trillion by the end of 2100 and curb the global warming trend by 6 hours we all are going to boil over and explode.

Of course, I doubt this will mean much to the conspiracy theorists who reject science.
People seem to forget that we live on a dynamic living world, one which goes through its own cycles.
Examine any strata that records weather, and one sees that we have enjoyed a relatively quite weather and earth these past tens of millenia.
Time to pay the piper.
