Found this to be an excellent interview that does provide accurate information which would answer this question has being an astounding "YES" that we do have an underclass caste system here in America.

I haven't read/watched your link yet - but I just wanted to note that of course there has been and always will be a caste system in our society, as there is in all societies. Luckily our caste system is surmountable - difficult to do, but doable all the same.
I think that there is definately a racist element but also a 'club' element as well. Let me preface this by making clear that I in no way endorse Sarah Palin or agree with her views or think that she would have made a good vpotus. However, the way the elite judged her wanting due to the schools she went to was very telling in my opinion. After all, when is the last time we had a president who didn't go to an Ivy League school? What is the percentage of journalists/anchors who went to the Ivy League? I am of the opinion an intelligent - hell, a gifted politician can come out of a state university......but to many it is all about what school you went to and what your ties were there. The Ivy League has become the Brahams, the rest of us? Very little chance in hell of reaching any real political power.

Unless you take every child away from their parents and put them in a communal environment at birth, there will always be differences in how people start in life. People who have more well off parents get better choices as they grow with less effort, but the difference is no where near insurmountable.

It's certainly not a caste system, such as colonial India. Where if you must keep the same type of job in relation to your caste you were born into, for generations, unless you died and were reincarnated in a higher class. People from different class definitions in the US don't go around raping and beating people of lower social classes either as happens in hate crimes within caste systems, such as in what brings up flaring unrest against higher castes like the Kherlanji Massacre in 2006.

This caste system is for black and brown men and is being heavily blamed on the Judicial and Educational institutions according to the interview. The speaker attributes our current day practices in these systems to be ones that were intentionally created to prevent many black or brown people from being part of our modern day society. There are more people of all races speaking out about the unfairness of all these brown and black people who are in our prison institutions primarily due to drug activity. The threat of their survival or major presence in our society is to great.

Yes, but how to turn this around? If parents are unable or unwilling to keep their sons from dealing then what can be done about it? I think the answer has to lie with the home. If the premise is correct and that the government orchestrated this system then why on Earth would one trust it to rectify the problem?

This is one of the big right wing myths still spead today.

If you work hard in America you can advance up the line!

That may have been true in the 1970's and earlier but not today.

30 years of right wing assault on unions, progressive tax rates, sufficient funding if the IRS and SEC, workers rights have killed that dream.

I'll post a link to a study of countries that rank far above the USA in the ability of a person to advance economically in society.

Yes, caste system that is the integral part of hindu religion and hindu social structure does exist in USA, moreover it exist wherever hindus migrate. It is a greandscale scam of the ancient period continues, as centuries of precipitation of cultural bigotry, discrimination and practices became so hardwired into hindus mind, as well as Indians of other religious belief who grew up in India. As far as US, the reports are out there, no comprehensive investigative report has been published yet, but you can follow up few places to learn more: upliftthem.blogspot.com, and Ambedkartimes.com

The American Caste system is based on wealth first, and political influence second.

Period.

Please refer the "The Evil of Caste", this is one of the most powerful work of the recent years compared to any similar upliftment work on our people.

Two UK parliamentarian visited Khairlanji, they interacted with Mr.Bhotmange, and also visited many places first hand witnessed caste atrocity, when they returned to UK they have also found out that same caste practices is happening in UK too?. (all documented already elsewhere?)
these MPs raised caste system issue in the UK parliament with vain because their voice was heard only at the minuscule level, until the "Evil of Caste" petition was submitted by our people, only then the UK parliament was pressurized, with so much activism and tireless efforts from our dalit bro/sis in UK finally the Caste system practice was made official by the UK govt and infact they enacted a new Law (Equality Bill 2010 that lists caste system as illegal in UK and severely punishable) to protect victims of caste system.

People who do not understand the reality might develop haste and talk about temper in languages, that is why it might be foreign to someone who has unclear understandings.

The meaning of the two phrase "recognize or do not recognize the caste system" is not crying for recognizing the caste system for some kind of a celebration like Dasra or Deepavali, but this tragic practice of caste system has already entered into US the minute the hindus landed in American soil,

during late 1970s, a Tamil Doctor by name Dr.Elangovan ( I do not have current contacts or connections of him?) was abused when he visited hindu temple in USA, he was asked about his caste and background and mistreated in hindu temples?.

In the New York and New Jersey business circles, dalit businessmen and woman are not treated equally, anytime a dalit business people approach the suppliers to get bulk supply of groceries or other items, the dalits have to pay in CASH in contrast to a caste hindu who will get a easy installment payment, loan and well treatment for buying stuff from suppliers and distributors who are mostly casteists.
in a much talked about "California" text book issues, the hindus removed all the real history of India and they made the curriculum sound like India has or had no caste system and it is all hindu rastra and that kind of crap?. The fight even went to court and finally some of the missing facts about India was incorporated by California school system?.

And, of course the latest "Gandhi Statue" issue, a University of California faculty" spoke venomous words against Mayawati, that UP and India will be better off Maywati Dead, he also spoke venomous against Dr.Ambedkar saying, who knows Dr.Ambedkar?.

And, atthe Univ of Michigan, when the dalit protesters opposed gandhi statue installation, the hindu faculty Dr.Nagagowda who was responsible for buying and sponsoring the statue said the to news reporters, dalits are irrelevant people? (check the reports online?)

Our people must keep their eyes and ears wide open to the world, they are slumbering quite comfortably, not knowing that there is so much is going on suppressing the Truth and the people in India as well as abroad,

what Obama spoke on caste system is not Obama but his hindu goons sitting behind him, they gave about 20million US dollar for this current election campaign, Obama, this black guy has no voice on caste system or race issues because his hands are tied and his mouth is shut.

Letter to President Obama,

Mr. President Barack Obama,

The US Congress and House of Representatives Passed Historic Resolution on Untouchability on July 23,2007. House Concurrent Resolution 139 is the First Official Statement on Untouchability by US Congress, do you have a sane American to advice you on such issues as Caste system and racism, or you are just living in dark?.

Many congressmen and senators in the past took serious effort to condemn and warn India about the caste system practices, US Congress and previous US President's recognized the grave dangers of hindu caste system of India, how dare you publicly announce a Fake statement that US recognizes no caste system?, is this statement perpetrated by bigot hindus in your inner circle, did you forget that you are an American and President of America?.

"America was founded on the fundamental principle "That all People have the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". This very principle is also became the supreme law of this nation of America in which each and every American take pride, not just pride but further step ahead in practicing these values, so in this American soil, all men are born equal....!".

This foundation later became the guiding light for Americans to promote Freedom, Democracy and Individual rights and human rights here at home and world wide. And, we must remember about these values every single day like we remember to breath.
