Even Obama gives us more credit with his acknowledgement that the system did not work. They could have easily figured something was not right when he didn't have a Visa or a suitcase and required two lawyers accompanying him to make sure he got on board. DUH! Sorry!

What they better NOT do is subject us to more invasive screenings before boarding a plane. I will NOT submit to any more radiation from xrays. Radiation CAUSES CANCER.

Secondly why on earth do they even screen Older men, women and children? When was the last time a terrorist was an old man, a woman or a teenager?

This whole underwear bomber fiasco just shows what happens when government gets TOO BIG. If it was a fraction of the size, there would be better communication and BETTER SECURITY! Less is more when it comes to government.

LOL you just reminded me of the last time I flew. I am your average white woman who was pulled out of line to be "checked" They wanded me but here comes the funny part. It was summer so I was wearing sandles. They wanded my bare feet for at least a full three minutes going all around them again and again. I finally said "What the h*ll do you think you are going to find? You can see my whole feet with or without your wand!. Are you guys just plain nuts or just trying to waste time?" Unbelieveable!

If Obama had any cojones he'd have fired someone at a lower level where the mistakes were made.

Good for him for saying that. Whether or not he lives up to it is another story, but, I'd like to hear more politicians mirror those words.

I won't try to spin it.
I hope others don't.
I just said, a few days ago, I'd like to see him step up to the plate and lead.
This is a good, big first step.

I actually believe that the naivete he had regarding this issue is starting to fade. He sounds like he is beginning to realize that you cannot appease these folks. Besides, the attacks are starting to cut even deeper into his popularity and he realizes it's him or these insane people. He'll probably start doing what's necessary in this area to shore up the defenses regarding terrorism, IMO. But, let's just wait and see because I haven't seen him fulfill too many of his most important promises thus far.
