Well ... It bothers ME and most other parents! We are fed up with the garbage that is in the media that is warping our children's minds. This is precisely why my TV is nothing but an oversized, paperweight because it stays silent. I just wish that parents would take a stand against this stuff and keep the TV off.

Her performance was just as despicable as Labarts. Adam does not get a pass just because he is a "persecuted minority".

Lewd Lambert Lambasted - January 7, 2010

Some of the comments in the complaints to the FCC are entertaining to read, but they also make me fear for our country's future.

I went through the first twenty-five complaints. They were from Wyoming, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, California, Alabama, Virginia, Iowa, New York, Maine, Florida, Utah, Arizona and Pennsylvania. Doesn't seem to be a "southern" thing at all.

I know. I saw that too. I think that's a good example of the type of person who complains to the FCC about Lambert. They're so out of touch that they don't even know that that the word "lesbian" refers to a woman.

Not at all. All I'm saying is that he is making gays look like they are nothing more than walking sex shows that have nothing else on their mind. Is that what you want to be perceived as?

Again, not at all. See my post above. They can do whatever they want. [/quote]

Everybody is controlled in some form or fashion, whether it be on stage or on television. And I DO suggest that heterosexual performers control themselves to present a better image, but not one of heterosexuality. But here's the difference; heterosexuals are not in the minority seeking to become more a part of the mainstream (ie, more acceptance). Gays are, and the outlandish things that some display makes them perceived as vulgar and disgusting by those who aren't exposed to gays on a regular basis.

You may think I'm dissing gays, but I'm really trying to help.

If some people perceive gays as "walking sex shows", I can't prevent them from doing that, and removing Adam Lambert from the public arena isn't going to prevent them from doing that either.

Adam Lambert does not represent all gays. If someone thinks that he does, then I think that person is a fool. Did Michael Jackson represent all blacks?

I understand that, but I think it's a bad idea to discourage any gay performer from doing what he or she wants to do on stage in the name of protecting the gay image. You play right into the homophobes' hands by doing that.

Very well anunidentifiablemale. You didn't change my opinion and I didn't change yours, but thanks for a respectable response.
