NOT a response. The question was why arent they making comments about job losses when they were when there was job growth going on? The fact that it takes time doesnt stop them from making comments.

Time to recover is also a failed response because it sure in the heck didnt stop them during growth periods...

Nice job there Bushies. Nice job.

Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

Same link...complete data. Too funny.
I'm not sure which is funnier
1) The fact that you link us to 1999-2009 as evidence of Bush's term in office, when in fact he was only in office from 2000-2008,
or
2) The fact that you list 2335 jobs created while linking us to a chart which says data type is THOUSANDS (which would mean 2,335,000 NET jobs created..
or
3) The fact that Obama lost TWICE the number of NET jobs created by Bush in his first year alone..

Obamas fault? Of course not, but me claiming that it would be is about as foolish as you claiming and then whining about the fact that Bush ONLY created 2,335,000 NEW jobs during his term..

The General rule that I've heard, is that you don't count the years that the President is in office to see how well they did.

Economically, you look at the next 4 to 8 years to see how well he did.

If thats the case, Clinton helped us survive the economic downturn that Bush faced when he first got into office, and Bush caused the mess we are in now.

The Jury is still out on the Obama administration, we'll see in 3 to 4 years.

January should count under the previous President considering that 2/3 of the month the previous President was in office. During Bush's tenure (which measures job total from Feb 2001-Jan 2009) a total of 1,943,000 jobs were created. During Clinton's tenure (job totals from Fed 93 to Jan 03) 22,760,000 jobs were created.

To compare Bush's last year to Obama's first 11 months. 3,747,000 jobs lost during Bush's last 12 months, 3,342,000 jobs lost during Obama's first 11 months. Bush's last 11 months 3,603,000 jobs lost.

Um, no. That's what you get for assuming. The numbers are from Jan '01 to Dec. '08.

I did forget to put MM after the number, however you're trying to claim that 2.3 MILLION jobs created in 8 years is great?!

You're comparing 11 months of data to 8 years after an economic recession unseen or experienced since the Great Depression, and thinking you're being cute? 2.3M jobs is the lowest job creation during modern history BY ANY PRESIDENT going back to Ford. Even W's daddy created more jobs, although just barely. Clinton created 23 MILLON jobs in 8 years. Hell even Reagan created 16 MILLION jobs in 8 years. Even LBJ at the height of the Vietnam war created over 11 MILLION jobs.

So, yeah I'm claiming and then pointing out that ONLY creating 2.3 MILLION jobs is not foolish, or even laughable. It's pathetic.

Hell its actually a bit less, since 2/3 of Jan 01 Clinton was President and 2/3 of Jan 09 Bush was President, Feb 01 to Jan 09 would be a better measurement.

Um, the financial crisis happened on Bush's watch, as a result of Bush-era policies.

Or did you and the GOP forget that part.
