Research on Unions

Registration for Jackson Lewis’s $595 “How to Stay Union- Free” seminars has increased to about 100 executives a session, according to Michael Lotito, a partner in San Francisco with the New York-based law firm. Jackson Lewis also has done research for companies on unions that could come to their workplaces if there is a change in labor law.

Sadly, in this economy even if they do, it is doubtful that anyone will speak up..

At a previous job that I had (when the economy was better), there was an individual who attempted to organize a Union, word got out to Management who sent a "Union Buster" in to speak to everyone.. We were called into "scare" tactic meetings and they were VERY effective in quashing the idea of a union.. The "employee" that attempted to organize was terminated (for a different "petty" offense)..

Right now, in the state of the economy, many folks are just trying to hold on to the jobs that they have, especially with the companies and Corp.'s making in abundantly clear that for every 1 Employee that needs to be replaced there are 10 to 20 waiting to fill that 1 slot.. Not to mention the amount of Illegal Alien Labor that the employers have to choose from..

Just as long as most of the workers recognize the scam for what it is.

The Chamber of Commerce is certainly a huge part of the bank roll for this crap. Wal-Mart has been union busting and using anti-union training videos for decades. It really was just a matter of time until the other big box corps. followed along....they always do.

Good to know there is some one out there at this level to counter the union goons with their scare tactics.

Always a good idea to keep the unions out. They increase the cost of doing business tremendously and they chase jobs from America.

name one good thing a union has done lately. just one.

Here's one if you hate Detroit: Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre Photography - The Ruins of Detroit

that's sarcasm for the special people. I'm originally from Michigan and that's why I have a special hatred for unions.
