Don't dump on my deceased father or me about community centers. It was just an example. Many Repubs on this forum don't even want public schools, let alone public recreation centers. Many on this forum feel people should pay for everything out of pocket, or go without, including police protection, fire protection, and the like.
anyone on this board that doesn't want public schools or cummintiy centers certainly isn't a moderate. You are spinning agian..Like so many libs you are confusing Republicans with ultra extemism..

Yes, because they believe that God intervenes in every aspect of their lives. I've been with Fundamentalist Christians who ask God to help them find a parking place. My own belief is that God gives you the brains to figure some of this stuff out for yourself. I also believe in "Free Will". Maybe I"m a closet Mormon (another religion not liked by some Repubs, even though many Mormons are Repubs).

Thank you for your response. I'm not going to engage this sub-thread any further simply because it takes the main thread further off topic but I appreciate your answering my question.

I am sure of this: If everything is God's will, it was certainly God's will that Palin and the Republicans lost.

Not good enough! I have friends, both democrats and republicians, they both use that line, it is GOD'S WILL, so many who believe do use it and One's Political view has nothing to do with it. I hear that phrase so much, from people i know who are either or.

all interesting again. So be a republican you have to be a conservative Christian . So let me see if i understand if your a conservative Christian concerned about Muslim terrorists your not a moderate. Doe everyone who is concerned about Muslim terrorist not able to be moderate?
So Moving on
So republicans who present science counter to man made global warming cant be moderate. SO people who think climate change is not man made cant be a moderate even though the hacked emails showed manipulation of their data. So if you believe that alot of the data that proved global warning has proven to be false you cant be a moderate.
So if you believe in god you cant be moderate
Can you name me one Republican who does not believe in schools? Or do they just think that the money we throw at schools over these years have not produce the best schools

I think its a difficult thing to say what a moderate republican is

Well SLCPUNK

Looks like to answer your question....We have only one self professed Conservative who was willing to back off these slurs the right wing throws up against Democrats.

nmnita.

Rumors of Obama being a Muslim, calling those who are for universal health care "Socialists", trying to delegitimize the President by claiming his birth in Hawaii is a fraud, is something the others can't bring themselves to condemn.

Just one on this board I guess?

Just over the last few days alone I've read 3-4 posts about the "moderate" conservatives ruining the GOP (written by the Palin types.) So I guess they aren't too interested in rational people who lean towards their parties roots. Which ultimately is too bad for them, although I certainly don't have a problem with it.
