Yes it is TRUE! ALL OF US ARE BEING SCAMMED BIG TIME by not just the Federal Government but local and state governments too! They have been keeping the total financial picture from us as annual budget reports don't include the entire financia picture at all. They leave out user fees from parks. They leave out investment returns and total asset infomation. The report that gives the ENTIRE BIG picture which includes everything is called the "Comprehensive Annual Financial Report" that is published at the end of June every year. Government officials evidently have made the media promise to not divulge the REAL numbers contained in THIS report, according to Walter Burien, the expert on all of this, whose website Walter Burien welcomes you to CAFR1 , (which I recently discovered after hearing him on the radio show Coast to Coast AM), goes into great detail on this major extortion by governments on the American people.

After watching his 2 hour video I looked up my own city's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and sure enough...IT IS TRUE!!! Governments are hoarding OBSCENE amounts of money! We are being lied to and robbed by our local and state governments too! Worst of all evidently the media knows about it and continues to keep it a secret -- ANOTHER HUGE REASON NOT TO BELIEVE MAINSTREAM MEDIA.

Look at this example of Midland Texas 2008-2009 Budget Report as compared to its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. In the Budget report it calls for an increase of taxes to pay for an increase of expenditures. However in the CAFR it shows a HUGE SURPLUS with NO NEED WHATSOEVER TO INCREASE TAXES. Notice the wording in the budget report in the first paragraph under "General Fund" calling for an increase in sales and property tax on page v http://www.midlandtexas.gov/departme...Y2008-2009.pdf

Now look at the CAFR for Midland Texas http://www.midlandtexas.gov/departme.../2008_cafr.pdf on page 19. If you look at the liabilities versus the assets for the primary government in the middle column, the assets are almost DOUBLE the liabilities!!!!!!!

How dare they even THINK about raising taxes with all the money they are stashing away and this goes on in EVERY government in our country!

Below is a list of many local and state government CAFRS! I challenge every one of you to look up yours and then bring it to your local taxpayers association, your church, reporters, community leaders and last but certainly not least, your local and state government officials --especially those advocating for higher taxes and user fees. Needless to say the ones that are are the ones that are probably benefitting from all the hoarding of the money. Certainly in 2010 don't re-elect or elect anyone who you think will just end up getting his or her share of the government gravy train.

Walter Burien says if we all do this, we could cut back or even end all taxation in two years but we first have to EXPOSE this scam! Force the media who has kept quiet about it to disclose the REAL NUMBERS so EVERYONE can finally find out what is going on.

Here is one place where you can look up any number of government CAFRs or better yet just do a search for your town's using the town's name so you don't have to look through everyone of these.

USASearch.gov: Comprehensive Annual Financial Report 2009

If anyone can find the Federal CAFR please list the link here. I'd love to see how much the Obama Administration has put us in debt ---if we even are in debt-- even after all the drunken sailor spending-- when you take the TOTAL FINANCIAL PICTURE into view that the National CAFR would reveal.

Why are there no responses? I've provided PROOF! You can look up your own town or state. Even our local government is ripping us off ( or charging us taxes when there is MORE than enough revenue from investments to cover expenses without also having to take taxes from the people -- and certainly not increase taxes.

I know this is contrary to the bill of goods we've been sold about the state of the economy. But doesn't it make you mad when they talk about INCREASING taxes when, if the truth be told, there is plenty of money (that they don't disclose) that could be used to cover spending WITHOUT raising taxes? Doesn't it make you mad to think they may be hitting you up for MORE money when they have more than enough in their coffers? All you need to do is check your state's Comprehensive Annual Fiancial Report.
