In December, ThinkProgress reported that ten GOP incumbents were being challenged by tea party activists in Republican primaries. In the interim weeks, many more tea party activists have stepped up to challenge both top Republican recruits and more Republican incumbents, denouncing the hand-picked candidates as too moderate and current lawmakers as divorced from conservative governance.
Quote:
The emergence of the tea parties as the opposition movement says more about Republicans than it does the agenda of the Obama administration. The Republican Party has not articulated coherent plans to deal with the health care crisis, poverty, global warming, dependence on foreign oil, financial industry abuses, or any other major national issue. Perhaps that is why so many tea party-goers are now challenging the Republican status quo.

And the 'Tea Partiers' have? I'm cautiously enthusiastic.
As a liberal, I'll say this about the Teabaggers and conservatives in general: When liberals are not represented adequately, we whine and have a few dopey marches. When conservatives get pissed, they take action.

Respect, insofar as that is concerned.
Look on how many liberals are contributing to left wing PACs online to further their goals. It's in the hundreds of Millions in small contributions to MoveOn, ActBlue, Obama campaign, etc. Conservative PACs are not even in the ball park.
Whats with all this 'you need to educate yourself' and 'You'll learn that in Politics 101" stuff?
Your posts seem very condescending and, while educational (thanks for that), seem to be beating us over the heads with your information as opposed to presenting it in a manner more easily accessible.
I think you do a disservice to your party and certainly will win no converts like that.
Sheesh.
