Murdoch's son-in-law, Matthew Freud, delivered an astonishingly public broadside against Fox News. Freud, a media-savvy London public relations supremo married to Murdoch's daughter, Elisabeth, told the New York Times that members of the Murdoch family had become embarrassed by Fox's output: "I am by no means alone within the family or the company in being ashamed and sickened by Roger Ailes's (Fox television boss) horrendous and sustained disregard of the journalistic standards that News Corp, its founder and every other global media business aspires to."

The average age of a Fox News viewer is 65! I'll bet the fact that most of Fox News viewers have nothing else to do all day except stay tuned to their channel, has something to do with their ratings.
Now I understand why Fox News uses scare tactics aimed at the retired to further their propaganda such as, "Obama wants to cut your Medicare!"
I just don't understand how people can really believe this. Especially given how many times they have been caught distorting facts, misrepresenting footage etc.

Exactly! A person who has dined at the finest restaurants would have no interest in McDonald's food. In the same way, a person who has developed the ability to think critically, would have no interest in the Fox Noise propaganda.
More than 1/3 of FOX NEWS vewers are Democrats. It is a great benefit to Republicans when Democrats that watch FOX NEWS are constantly insulted my thier own Democrats. It's the brainless sheeple that watch MSNBC and CNN and their low rating prove it.

He's probably conservative. Btw economicaly, liberalism is a right wing position in the UK and centrist on social policies. Also the conservative party are the staunchest advocates of economic liberalism. lol
