Oh wait, let me try; So...Shilling MIGHT have been a Yank IF they would have made an offer, so then he would be a Yankee and a fan...so technically, Martha is right.

Do I have that about right?
If the way you justify the things politicians say and do is based upon a "what if" version in some alternate reality.... then yes, of course.

Well there you have it then. And if they're stupid enough to take their political cues from a baseball player, then it speaks volumes to their limited intellect.

You're not getting it.

Coakley dragged the baseball fans into the campaign.

Coakley is the one who, while on a TV radio show, belittled Giuliani for being a Yankee fan, because Giuliani endorsed Brown, then she went on to belittle Schilling, a Red Sox legend, by foolishly claiming he too was a Yankee fan.

Coakley brought baseball into the campaign to bash Brown, and she was shown to be a complete idiot. She is he own worst enemy, and she made a complete ass out of herself, plain and simple.

She loaded the pistol, and shot her self in the foot.

D
Schilling is anything but a wallflower. He injects himself into politics. It's his way.

The same Curt Schilling vowed to not play for any team that played outdoors because of his wife's skin cancer kept his pledge until the Red Sox offered him a fat contract and he said "what vow?" Can you say sellout?

That may be, but this is about Coakley showing her asshatness, its not about Schilling.

If Brown gets elected it's going to happen for the same reason Romney got elected.

A reasonable Democrat didn't run as opposition. Coakley is pretty terrible overall. I'm wondering how far left Brown will have to swing to hold the seat if he gets in there, because there is no real way he would get elected otherwise.

So it excuses Coakley's complete idiocy? Sorry, nice try at a deflection.

What is next? Excusing her asinine comment last week, that there are no more terrorists in Afghanistan, because of something someone else did back in 2003?

If you are referring to his chances of reelection after six years as senator? That will depend upon how Brown represents himself as a US senator for Massachusetts, and what the political climate is like in 2016.
