If we don't approve of how the gov. is spending our money why do we continue to pay taxes???

Even some of the most radical critics won't touch this one. Any time I google the term "tax protest" all that comes up is something from California...

I saw something once on one of the Tea Party web sites about a tax protest but it seems to have disapeared.....

Then there is this guy over in the UK:

The anti-war people tried this back in the 60's and 70's. It didn't work.

A guy my husband worked with withheld his for 7 years before the feds showed up on his doorsteps. He ended up losing his the home because even then he wouldn't work with them to work something else out. Hint: don't get your legal advice from the internet. The IRS always wins.

There is no law against not paying your taxes. There IS a law, however, against not filing income tax returns. You MUST file a return. Now whether you pay or not is up to you. Keep in mind, however, that whatever you DON'T pay will be subject to possible penalties and interest when you do pay.

Just a heads up.

It's been tried before, don't make any long term plans

Wonder why the article was posted in the guardian

Income Tax Page

I think one day drugs will be legal, most likely pot. I've prepared for this by amassing a few tons of weed.

Don't forget to turn it periodically to prevent mold from forming in the middle, unless of course you've placed rye in the middle.
