Whatever system we have in place presently is failing and it is far from Free Markets.

Now the only question: What can this country do to die with dignity?

Easy- a populist revolution.

Break up the monster corporations that are calling the self serving shots.

Don't worry, I was not insulted in the least. I also do not like labels. If anyone agrees with any one particular party or set of ideals across the board, I find it suspect and more like a religion.

Yes, the religion of disapproval of use of force and fraud against another does indeed meet with conflict from those endorsing the use of force and fraud.

Stiglitz is a socialist snake ,member of the "unholly trinity " of anti-capitalism,
tohether with Krugman & Robert "the giant " Reich...

Also, a total liar when he claims that he supports market economies...
He is for max gov control,he is a modernised Marx, without the utopian thinking of the original Marx...

Needless to say that as a Jew he is a traitor of the Jewish nation, because his proposals ,if implemented would deprive mostly Jews from profiteering...

This is the worst post in this thread. It provides nothing of value. Attacking the messenger is poor way of attacking their argument, and it's tactic usually employed by mental midgets. Are you a mental midget? Certainly you can do better than this. Certainly you can make a logical post that attacks the argument rather than the individual. If you cannot, well...

US Does Not Have Capitalism Now: Stiglitz - CNBC

What has happened to Entreprenuership?

What has happened to innovation and creativity?

"An awful lot of people are not managing their own money," Stiglitz said. "In old-style 19th Century capitalism, I owned my company, I made a mistake, I bore the consequences."

Accountability is lost.
Among small companies, that require innovation and creativity, it's still the same as it ever was. Obama has started small biz incubators and is offering tax breaks to small businesses as well.

This man seems to be talking about huge companies, where innovation and creativity are not wanted. I dont see what you're complaining about. Look at GM. Should they have just carried on rotting like 17th century Spain? You sure didnt like it when they were made to stop IIRC.
