OH NOES!

people, we dont live in the wild wild west anymore.
The "wild west" was safer than cities like Baltimore, Chicago, DC, etc., where guns are restricted.

And we still have the Second Amendment, regardless of your personal ignorant opinions on the matter.

They have been tracing guns captured by the Mexican Police back to Arizona and Texas.
They aren't getting full-auto machineguns and grenades and RPG's from U.S. gun shows.

I find the Constitution very suitable for today's society. Humans haven't really evolved any since the 1780's so the second amendment is still necessary. In fact the worst crimes in history have happened in the last century...all done by governments against defenseless people.

In Switzerland, not only every man is armed but the ratio of "weapons" per person is higher than the one we have...but the crime is non-existing, and gun "incidents" are unknown.
Guns do not kill...people do.

CIFTA treaty of 1997 signed by Bill Clinton would take away gun freedoms if ratified by Congress and give the information to the UN.

Could this be where Obama is headed.....
Gun Law Update - CIFTA Treaty

- The U.S. government under this treaty GAINS POWER to manage firearms almost any way it would like to, without checks and balances.
-- Once signed, many of the restrictions and government intrusions become MANDATORY, and the full Congress, already cut out of ratification (only the Senate approves treaties) would be cut out of the implementation process entirely.
-- Top to bottom registration of all firearms, ammunition, ammunition components and other related materials is required if they are "in transit" and records must be kept indefinitely. This vague language, and the requirement to comply are a gun-banner's dream and a rights advocate's nightmare.
-- "Transit licenses or authorizations" for transfers of firearms are required for imported firearms, and loose language could include the same for all domestic firearms.

Wow, nuff said, now we know where you're coming from. You know, if you don't like living under this constitution, maybe you can set up your own country and you can rule it as you wish.

do you not understand?

The Constitution is a document devised by the Founders to protect the people from the government.

It's purpose is to protect our rights from those who want to impose their misguided beliefs.

You have no right to force your morality on others, nor do you have a right to take away our individual rights to bear arms. All your rhetoric does is make us want to stockpile more guns and ammunition.

...things have changed a lot since. Then, people used gun to protect themselves...today is totaly different. We live in a "tech" era...where other means are used by Gov to control masses.
