As shown in the picture, all the predominately Republican and Democrat states would separate and the Republican states would join together and be called be Jesusland, and the Democrat states would join with Canada to become United States of Canada.
I know this isn't real, but how would you feel about something like this if it actually happened?

I think it should be split up in far more ways than in just that picture. But it is a good start.
I was thinking something more like this.

I say let the blue states, like New York, Michigan and California, punish themselves a bit more, before they realize the mistake of going too blue. They can only allow liberal special interests to bleed their state tax coffers dry, before they discover the error of their ways.

Nah, there are some good people in those blue states, who truly want to help people, but they need to learn that you have to know where to draw the line.
They must learn where to draw the line, because at some point people are fit enough to care for their own needs and do not need charity and hand outs from the government.
A year or so ago, a Russian political scientist wrote a thesis about the balkanization of the United States predicting, as I recall, about eight smaller "countries" within the country. At the rate we're going and the tensions developing, it's a pretty scary thought that it could happen.
Silly question, since it is not even legal and it will not happen. FYI, Texas has Demos running every major city in the state, so I guess this red vs blue BS is just that. Try dividing the nation by counties and how they vote and you might see a very different picture. Anyway, as I said, no states are going to break away from the union, don't like it here, you are welcome work to help solve the issues or leave any time you wish.

I do believe that most of the blue states would be going nowhere if this truly happened, remember that most of the resources for the blue states comes from the red states.
