What always amuses me about those who get all bent out of shape over "In God We Trust" being on our money, is just how little we actually DO trust in God.

If we really did trust in Him, it might be alright to use at a motto, but since we so obviously do not, it's a nothing more than a bad joke.

No, ONE company has done that and it's not on the gun itself, but on the site for the gun.

And this Christian finds that not to be the point at all. Christ Jesus instructs us to 'give unto God that which is God's and unto Caesar (government) that which is Caesar's. Our coin and currency come from the government, not from God. I find that to equate such currency and/or coin to God by using such a phrase on it is blasphemy. You are, of course, free to disagree.

I don't disagree at all, though I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call it blasphemy.

But, for the sake of argument, the case can surely be made that our money does come from God because everything is His and He still in control.

And, there's the issue of just whose God/god that phrase is talking about. There are lots of "gods" we can follow, besides the right one, and since money does indeed seem to be the most popular American god, maybe that phrase should be on our dollar bills after all, just with a lower case g.
