Whats the Difference between NBA's Basketball and Fundamental Basketball, No dunking????
Now I would understand if he said "I wanted to create a league just for the Fundamentals of basketball" but to exclude people because of their race is ignorant.
I'm tired of people acting surprised that racism still lives. Who cares what year it is? There will be racism in 2110 and 2210. These sorts of people don't look at the calendar and decide that it's time to stop with these antics.
Anyway, this sounds like some kind of KKK/Stormfront creation. Who will take this sort of league seriously? Who wants to watch a bunch of skinheads play basketball poorly?
Last time I checked the NBA was held by standards that all players adhere to. Many players just happen to learn at their neighborhood courts.
Back in the 50’s, when basketball players actually WERE white, I remember reading an article in the newspaper where the writer thought that Jews were going to take over the game because they were “clever, wiley, could be pushy, and once they got the ball, they wouldn’t let go of it”.
These were attributes he thought would be valuable in a basketball player.
I don’t remember seeing any more of his articles, but I know a lot of people agreed with him.
My friend Saul, who went to school in Boston, actually wanted to play, but he said too many tall Irishmen tried out for the team and the only spot left for him was equipment manager.
If they want to have a 'all white basketball league' so what...let them....
As blacks, why do we always feel we gotta force our way into all white institutions?
In this day and age, how is that progress? Unless you have low self esteem and feel the only way you can validate your self worth is to be associated with Euro-Americans....
I, personally, could care less...let it stand on it's own merits...if such a league can generate revenew than fine...if not, oh well...
