Are these people (politicians) really this stupid, do they lust for power that bad (government controlling everything) or are they just that in the pocket of big-business? I say all three, but maybe someone can enlighten me. I'm all FOR healthcare reform but not this stupid solution. Why the F don't they just open the market? Healthcare would have to become affordable or many businesses would wither and die. And that's the point...they know it. Companies would be fighting over your business. To get it, they would have to offer it at a reasonable rate. Do this, eliminate loopholes/fine print (if you insure em', you gotta cover em') and penalize the ones who f with people. Why so hard? Win-win. Mr. hope and change is the same guy in a different suit. Now is the time for a strong independant to run for president.

I'm sorry but I don't know if I can agree with you (about it making too much sense). I keep hearing that I'm not as smart as them because I don't have a Harvard Degree. Mine are from other places therefore I apparently suck. Seriously though...an f-ing reasonable teenager would have more to offer than some of these geniuses. Maybe we should have a special election for the best high school president and vice president, lower the age and let them run in the next presidential election. I'm just sayin'.

Because....under THIS administration and the Dems in Congress.....it was never about reforming our health care.
The simple solution IS to allow more competition and crack down on frivolous medical malpractice lawsuits.
But....where ARE all the attornies?
It's a major attempt for the govt. to CONTROL your life through the guise of their idea of health care......while redistributing a LOT of wealth for them and their progressive, socialist agenda elitists.
A HUGE powerplay allowing THESE people to CONTROL.......our birth and death rate numbers, if they wish....and make a TON doing so.....leaving our selves BROKE for many generations and enslaved to them and their radical, Marxist leaders on top of it all.

That means you are now on the hook to pay your premiums yourself. That is now running around $500.00/mo for the average family. As unemployment rises (and it will) fewer and fewer Americans will be able to afford insurance. Why do we need insurance? Because a broken leg, a relatively common occurence is a $30,000.00 proposition. Cancer is instant insolvency, not only for yourself but your entire extended family. So maybe it can't happen to you because you have aged out of the critical sector or maybe not but where is your humanity? Can you also do without clean water or air? Food? When Tyson foods owns part of a president do you think it will be long before chickens are $120 a pound! That's what chicken costs in Jamaica. Different money? Yes, and no. It's taken 100 years for the relative differences between economies to establish themselves but within those economies inflation is still inflation. Once upon a time chicken in Jamaica cost $2.00/lb. same as here. Tyson will not care if only those earning 150,000/yr or better can eat period because there are plenty such people in America. In fact, at present, the U.S. economy moves forward mostly on the impetus of those with net worths in the tens of millions of dollars. There isn't enough consumption by 'ordinary' Americans to justify caring for them anymore. Wake up!!!

Well.....if and when YOU ever wake up, you will notice that I AM FOR an overhaul with our Health Care in this country!
I understand your complaints and concerns over costs and coverage.....but THIS "THING" has got nothing to do with what YOU believe will HELP......YOU or anyone other than what "they" want and its far bigger and badder than anything resembling Health, Care or REFORM that I, we......desire.
It's a mistake and the real solution to your pain....lies within free market COMPETITION along with oversight......not total Govt. CONTROL that would surely....re-distribute wealth and explode an already fat govt. with a voracious appetite for more, more , more!

I can agree. It is a little late, however, to hope for or expect a bloodless revolution. And, indeed, a revolution is what it would take to modify the entrenched duplex party system i.e. Demican/Republicrat duplexity. i see no stomach for change among the populace. It is still good enough for many. Maybe in 10 years, but not yet.
So the Brown victory did hit a nerve in the WH. Talk is focused on "Americans" now ?
IMO he's just trying to gain Democratic favor with the voters. He's back to campaigning
