The Iraq war had two justifications: the murder of Saddam Hussein for threatening Bush the elder and the need for endless government funding of the military suppliers and their warmongering supporters. Neither of these are morally acceptable but are still real.
If they are morally unacceptable, what does it add to say they are "still real"? What sort of formulation is that, and what is it supposed to mean to anyone?
The Holocaust is "still real." People raping small children is "still real". What a vapid phrase.
The google web says that Katrina cost the US taxpayer over $130 billion.
That doesn't include the couple hundred billion in personal losses.
Not sure why it's such a stretch to have a Predominantly God believing Country, desire to return it's spiritual homeland to the offspring of the Judeo-Christian heritage.
We should help Israel as much as they have helped us in Iraq and Afghanistan.
