Now back on topic. The Confederate flag's meaning is objective, and only means what it means based on the person.
Why would you LET your parents tell you what to do? Be independent, self-reliant...
My parents won't let me do anything until I'm 18. My parents already don't trust me. Believe me I can't wait until I am old enough to be independent.
