You and I see this quite differently. I don't assign the same views to the flag that you do. To me, the flag is a symbol of Southern history, culture, pride, and maybe a little bit of rebelliousness. Those are all good things, in my opinion.
The comparisons you're trying to make between homosexuality and the Confederate Flag are lost on me. In fact, you should know that many gays in the South actually like the Confederate Flag. If you go to a gay pride event in Atlanta, you're bound to see something like this:
I am sad that you would write what you have written. I love my gay cousins & will fight to protect them if I have to.
It is so amusing to me that so many southerners who died in battle were poor white crackers who served as so much cannon fodder for the slave owning elite. Yet you people romanticize it. Sorry, but slavery was a disgusting time in our history and I don't see a need to pretend otherwise.
How can you condone what you know is wrong, anunidentifiedmale? You know that bigots are wrong so why do you defend them? I am getting confused. Aren't you gay? How can you defend those who would love to see you dead?
Plenty of "immorality" has been committed under the U.S. flag too, so you should hate that one just as much.
I like the flag. If you think it represents slavery then you MUST be racist.
