Certainly Cyber Queen. The Christian Taliban are Christian fundamentalist who feel the need to impose their religion, morals, and social values on everyone else. They believe the USA should be a christian nation, that the laws should be christian based, that there should be no separation between church and state, that religion and not science be taught in schools, that research should be banned because it offends them, that abortion be banned, that gays shouldn't be married, that drugs shouldn't be legalized, etc. Oddly they tend to be pro-war, pro-big government (in regards to police state and government spying), pro-death penalty, and believe in harsh punishments for crime which seems like the opposite of what Jesus would believe.

he isn't saying that to be mean, or to diss anyone, it is a statement of fact that people with irrational beliefs, no matter where they come from or what belief system they belong to, are not using their brains adequately!
I can't believe this thread is even being allowed. Comparing anyone in the U.S. to the Taliban is horrible. What they did to us is beyond words and to even suggest anyone here is like that just because they are Christian or belong to a certain political group is inexcusable.

Flat tire? How do you work the jack? The lug nuts are too tight.
How do you prune the fruit tree?
Furnace filter? Wheres that at?
Kick a breaker? Better call an electrician.

No real surprise here. Remember this study doesn't show that all conservatives on average have a lower IQ than liberals, but conservatives that identify themselves as social conservatives AKA Christian Taliban tend to have a much lower IQ than liberals and conservatives that are socially liberal. Explains a lot about some of the post and posters on this board.
There is nothing "liberal" about the Progressive movement.
Fundamentally controlling every aspect of your life, does not sound liberal to me.
This is the elitist attitude, that is going to get what they have coming to them, from the voice of the "We the People" movement.

Who says an electrician, mechanic, or plumber can't have a high IQ? its a misconception that blue collar folks have a low IQ.
If the study parses conservatives along social and economic lines, then it should do the same with liberals when comparing them. You don't compare apples to vegetables. You compare apples to peas. You don't compare Mary to boys. You compare Mary to John.
Personally my favorite study on liberals versus conservatives is the one that shows conservatives give more money to charity and that there is a correlation between charitable behavior and religion and attitude about the role of government.

I've heard many people here labeled as Christian Taliban...yet they never killed or planned to kill an abortion doctor.
Well the Taliban in Afghanistan don't only hurt people. They also used laws to repress women, and violate civil rights of other citizens while they were in office.
Now, quite unlike many Christian conservatives in these United States, they resorted to violence to punish those who they deemed un-Muslim. However, Christian conservatives would like to see a law passed banning abortions, which would make it illegal, which would allow for the arrest of doctors that perform the act, and women who seek them out.
So they aren't quite as crazy as the craziest Taliban, but they are on par with the Taliban who ran the government, and weren't killing people on a daily basis.
