I will change the article to something more controversial.
San Juan, Puerto Rico (CNN) -- A humanitarian mission to aid Haitian earthquake victims turned into a major embarrassment in Puerto Rico on Friday as pictures emerged of doctors drinking, mugging for cameras and brandishing firearms amid the victims' suffering.
The ethics committee of the commonwealth's medical board said it was launching an investigation into whether those involved should be disciplined.
Hard to say that doctors themselves were wrong-- we don't really know who took the pictures. I also don't find it strange that aid workers would feel camaraderie towards one another, or need to vent off in odd ways away from the suffering they're surrounded by for quite a length of time now. Even in normal day life ER docs, cops and firemen do go out for a beer and talk shop from time to time.
This is such a strange controversy to me. Are they supposed to walk around looking miserable 24 hours a day for weeks on end? I certainly haven't been. Can't say I've seen anyone else either.
I love how people who are doing about a thousand times LESS to help these victims are complaining about doctors on the front lines ... smiling.
so they took some time off. well deserved, and took some pics to relieve the stress so what. this is a non story. the attackers must be getting really bored latley
I don't really get the outrage either. They probably see so much crap and death that they need a break to cut loose for a few hours. The picture isn't even bad
I don't see teh problem. It looks like a bunch of guys letting off steam. We need to remmeber that they are thier doing the job and we are here in our homes.I say they are doing much more than those that critize them for sure.If it bothers you ;catch a plane is what I say.

I would rather have a doctor who parties after saving my life and the lives others than some miserable bleeding heart who has done f--k all to help me.
Reminds me of the line from House:
"Which one do you want? A doctor who ignores you when you get better or one who holds your hand as you die?"
