Sanrene I notice you didn't mention the jump Rasmussen polls have given Obama since yesterday, if Rasumussen reports this I can only imagine what the REAL upwards jump is.
Per YOUR chart, it shows a 1% increase.. You consider this a jump? Whats the margin of error?
Ball of confusion...that's what the world is today.
Well, maybe not the whole world, but most of the posts in this thread. When Obama was outclassing the Republicans up in Baltimore, he cited those GDP and job growth numbers. Did you see them trying to jump on the President for that? No. Because they know full well that those numbers are accurate. They don't care if YOU don't understand them, but they aren't about to make themselves look so stupid as to pretend that THEY don't.
These polls meanwhile call to mind those halcyon days of yore when big majorities of FOX News viewers believed that we had found WMD in Iraq, and that the rest of the world had strongly supported the invasion of that country. Basic take-away from that: there are enough dumb people out there to make the numbers look like this. Do you want to be with the dummies or against them?
Why would someone? He told us that if we supported the stimulus it wouldnt get this bad. But now we are suppose to believe him or trust him or have faith he knows what hes talking about
Yep that is exactly what he expects of us, NICE HA.
I regularly read PolitiFact and FactCheck.org, and I listened to the Republican Response to the SOTU. Based on the fact that none of the above so much as even mention Obama's remarks about tax cuts, I'm inclined to believe that's true. His numbers for jobs created is the highest estimate in a large range of estimates, most of which suggest fewer jobs have been created. So it's more of a half truth. It could very well be 2,000,000 jobs, I won't fill this with personal stories of people I know who lost jobs/found jobs since Obama took office since that really can't be extrapolated to the nation as a whole. But it's likely that fewer jobs were created. Overall, I don't see that Obama really lied, nor did Governor McDonnel. They both put some spin on things, but hey, its politics, some things are just to be expected.
It's one thing to discuss the implications of the public's perception that Obama is lying, however it seems most people here want to use these poll numbers as proof that Obama lied. You can't infer that information from a public opinion poll
