you all forgot some of things Obama has done his first year in office.

Warning: I know this reads like a GWB campaign speech.

One of the primary reasons given by Obamaites for the economic struggles of the U.S. was Bushes overseas military adventures. What has Obama done to stop that?

1. Continued wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
2. Launched missle attacks in pAkistan
3. Says he wants to launch missle attacks in Yemen
4. Sent 1,400 troops to man 7 new military bases in Columbia
5. Requested 110 million for new bases in Bulgaria and Romania and wants to send 4000 U.S. troops to man them
6. U.S. troop operations wil expand in Somalia, Mali, Uganda and Seychelles (all in Africa)
7. Made 605 billion dollar arms deal with Taiwan. Agreed to send 200 missles to Tawain. This has infuriated China further. Would we be mad if China sent 200 missles to Cuba?
8. Sending U.S. missle battery to Morag, Poland. 35 miles form the Russian border. How would we react if Russia put a missle battery in British Columbia and pointed them at Seattle?
9. Said that military action is possible in Iran.
10. Requested 708 billion dollars for the 2010 defense budget. The largest such request since WW2. This will likely go over the one trillion dollar amount by the end of the year.

If Bush spending money on the military contractors was bad for the economy, as we've been told, then Obama is even worse.

One could probably make a case that Obama is the most imperailist of all our presidents. At least to this point.

Change we can believe in. LMAO.

Yeah, I'd say that had a little to do with it.
Not exactly. After 911 everyone stopped spending.. Then to get the economy moving money was pumped into the economy which devalued the dollar, tanked the stock market etc..

The war had very little if anything to do with the recession. Wars actually increase economic spending, not decrease it.. We had a recession DESPITE the wars, not because of them..

$459 billion isn't chump change, but it's all that the Bush deficit was his last year in office. Democrats quadrupled the deficit.

Thank you!
And, like I said, I voted for him.
Right is right and wrong is wrong, no matter what side of the aisle they're on.
