Wow, funny tin foil hat stuff. All the opposition is a amoral superman with unlimited power, yeah.

Reminds me when Obama said the importance of education, so all the extremists pulled their kids out of school.

Are you saying you don't believe the content from obama's own website?

I don't.
There's a whole growing segment of Americans out there who are becoming disenfranchised and alienated from their own country because of the scary direction its taken, and they fight back in their own way by rejecting many facets of mainstream America. I was stunned to realize how many of my friends have decided to go cable-free (many have basic TV now, like in the old days with only 13 channels; that's one way of controlling the smut being marketed to their children), have rejected how hospitals have turned into business money-making schemes so they gave birth at home with midwives, and home-schooling their kids, teaching their kids things schools don't teach anymore such as geography, literature, hand-writing, history, and foreign languages.

I expect to see millions more Americans going this route should Obama and the liberal's socialist-fascist agenda continue.

Suggested reading for these high school students?

Truly incredible. What's even more incredible is that teachers are passing out this propaganda to their students.

Two suggestions:

don't let your children APPLY for internship if it bothers you.

don't let your children READ the recommended reading if it bothers you.

I did not read anywhere that students are COMPELLED to do anything or that their grade depends on internship or reading assignments.

Jeez, people show a tremendous lack of confidence in the judgment of their own children. No wonder the young generations are so friggin' neurotic.

Schools do not serve the purpose of recruiting for the democrat party. There are usually very strict guidelines about political propaganda like this. I doubt very much if the teacher passing about such garbage bothered to get permission from the parents to recruit their children into obama's youth corp.

So it looks like ONE teacher in ONE high school ALLEGEDLY passed out an application for an internship in a government class that could have easily been printed from the OFA website.

I read the application and supporting literature from the OFA website. Nowhere did it mention that this was an internship for high school kids. If is was, it would have been written differently in accordance with that age group.

Take a look at it and you will clearly see that the internship and literature is directed at college students. Let's use some common sense. If this application was directed toward high school kids, there would at least be a requirement for parental approval, which there is not.

If that one teacher did pass out copies of the application, then he/she was wrong for doing so. But to jump on the "Obama is trying to indoctrinate our kids" bandwagon over it, definitely is in tinfoil hat territory.

I took my children out of the public schools with the advice of their teachers who also left their jobs and took their children out. Now they homeschool their children and mine. The propaganda being fed to the kids in the schools is undermining this country.

Everyone should write a letter to the editor about this.

Default So you want to stop military recruitment in the schools, too?

It's alright to recruit for the military in the schools, isn't it?
What's the difference?

Interns are a good thing in any business or not for profit like government.
What's wrong with job training?

My ford, I don't believe some posts I read here.

What do you want, to keep people dumb and unemployed.
How's that working?

The military fights FOR the country, Alinsky's fights AGAINST the country.

Kids are "indroctrinated" from the day they are born. They have to be or they would be mindless blithering idiots. Parents, family, freinds, teachers, coworkers, media, etc. all have something to say and different ideas... and that's why we have brains to process the info and figure out what's really what.

This really isn't an Obama or Democrat thing is it? It was one teacher who did something. Teachers , who are people btw, "do things" every day that you may or may not like or agree with.

I don't know why people seem to think they have a right to live a life without viewpoints different than their because nobody knows, or is right, about everything. Homeschooling is ok, but can be limiting if that is what the parents decide to do with it. It's worse to grow up ignorant than to grow up hearing about lot's of things and having to figure stuff out for yourself.
