I find it disgraceful that a national prayer day is paid for with tax payers dollars. It violates the constitution and is just one more example of how the religious right constantly creeps into our government and how our country is run.

it was basically forced on truman.....taxpayers pay for events related with it ....and it is highly connected to the conservative religious movement. Read some more info besides there own website
