We became so spineless when the liberals kept insisting on pushing the limits of political correctness to ridiculous extremes in order to further their own agendas. It is only natural that it occasionally bites them in the ass when the media is willing to cover their statements that are derogatory. Most of the time they are swept under the rug while conservatives have statements taken out of context in order to assasinate their character.
But back to your question, society became so spineless from the 90's up until today as the PC police were constantly given more and more power by the left and the mainstream media.
Hurt feelings is not offense. It's hurt feelings. Offense is only something that you can feel yourself. You cannot feel it on behalf of someone else. It's like how you cannot accept an apology on behalf of someone else.
There are millions of people that suffer from physical retardation that have 100% of their metal abilities.
You insult all of them when you cheapen something in that way.
Is that so hard to comprehend for someone with all their mental faculties?
