Reid's comments were bizarre, but he doesn't deserve to lose his job over it. He deserves to lose his job because he's an incompetent buffoon.

So now we're feeling offense on behalf of others.. When did society become so spineless?
You are talking about a man who wrapped dead fish in newspaper and delivered them to someone. Rahm Emanuel is mentally ill.

Maybe time to get his cell phone records and see how many hours he's logged.

Huh? Reid is a Democrat and Senate majority leader. I would hardly call him a conservative.

Default Much ado about nothing

Just to position myself correctly, I'm a conservative Republican with no use for Rahm Emanuel, but I certainly won't use this as a chance or excuse to "cheap shot" him. I have many justfiable criticisms against him. Why self-indulge in a stupid and petty reaction?

Having said that, when a commonly used pejorative descriptive is bellowed out in obvious anger and people immediately get their pin feathers ruffled and their noses out of joint it's time to stop and take a deep breath. Palin, because of her family situation reacted understandably, but she still way overreacted and she should have had the courage to correct herself later and admit it. She didn't. That will stand as a negative marker against her in my opinion and rightly so. It will also leave her justifiably open to return abuse of the same kind when she gets caught slipping in judgement verbally.
