like many of the rush followers, he feels anybody that makes a dollar more than him is rich.
on the other hand, rush is just an ordinary working guy that buys ball clubs.

But as long as someone does better than you than you are just the normal everyday guy just like the 2 normal guys on here buying 4 million dollar properties and houses in jakarta..... the average guys

That is the thing about Rush Limbaugh fans. They parrot everything he says on his show, as though he is the authority on truth, yet they are quick to defend him with canned responses like "You took him out of context, he didn't really mean what he said, he's only an entertainer, not an elected official, you can't take him serious"

See, they want it both ways, they revere him and hold him in high esteem, treat him as an influential conservative political analyst, often quoting him, only to turn around and say he's an entertainer who shouldn't be taken serious. Even the responses on this thread are often contradicting.

WTF??!!!

According to http://www.city-data.com/forum/busin...hierarchy.html

U.S. Income class hierarchy

Lower Class/Poor: $0 - $22,000

Lower Middle Class: $22,000 - $45,500

Middle Class: $45,500 - $117,450

Upper Middle Class: $117,450 - $500,000

Lower Upper Class: $500,000 - $3,000,000

Upper Class: $3,000,000 - $25,000,000

Super Rich: $25,000,000+

My household income is $360,000. That would put in the Upper Middle Class category which is still Middle Class. Am I missing something wrong here? Of course I think the rich should pay their share of taxes. Through taxes, people then have access to a functioning government. But really, the point is, if government want the true 'rich' to contribute more to society. It is in my humble opinion that people above $1 million in income to pick up the burden. People like me are trapped in the middle and can't be considered rich by the standard of the media. Because I still can't access the luxury that I see on tv (like private jets, a garage of exotic cars, house like celebrities)

An income at that level might not be celebrity type, but it is still more than 98-99% of the country. Out of curiosity of that $360,000 what is your taxable income?.

Didnt you say $250K is not middle class, but someone who is rich? So if you claim $250K income is rich.. Can someone who is "rich", by YOUR definition, and brings in $250K a year.. buy a $4M property? You havent answered my question, you deflected from it..
well as you know there is alot more to the scenario now isn't there? the person could have huge savings, other investments etc so your question is to vague to be answered

Are you still gonna sit here and deny that people who make more money than 98% of the rest of the people are middle class? that people making 250k are the same a people making 40K????
