I have been with the credit union for 12 years! Never would I give a dime to Bank of America or any of the giant monster megabanks.

Credit unions and local comunity banking is the way to go. We need to get rid of these big conglomerate banking institutions. They have been seaping through every facets of our gov't since early 1900's. We were forewarned by our founding fathers. It's time we all take action.

I agree, although it's very difficult to apply it to all the money we handle. Investment vehicles, 401k plans ect are a winding path. Thank you for this post. I dumped my supersize bank last year and was sure to tell them why.

I used to have a credit union account for 20 odd years but when I relocated I had to close it due to access. Local banks work fine here just the same.
