I say Nuke them all off the face of the earth which is what we should have done after 9/11. No troops needed to be utilized that's why we have nuclear weapons. Let them do the work for us. Thats what they are there for. The object of war should be to win plain and simple. IMO there should have been a lot of areas in that part of the world that should have been turned into parking lots for doing what they did on 9/11, but instead the rest of the world doesn't take the U.S. seriously and laugh at us behind our backs. They continued to kill (using kids as snipers in some cases) while our troops needed "special permission" to engage the enemy even though they were being shot at, and some that had the b*lls to fight back got brought up on charges by their own country!! Meanwhile back at the ranch the enemy will soon build a symbol of victory steps away from the initial attack thus rubbing our faces in it.

Freedom and democracy, Let alone women’s rights, have absolutely nothing to do with our involvement.

OP – Snipers are a very strange breed because their form of warfare is much closer to cold blooded murder than getting into a fire fight.
So,..when a group is ambushed and shoot back,...it's murder?

That's a unique perspective.

New? Cheytac has been around since 2001. Here's a great video from Discovery Channel's "Future Weapons". Part 2 covers the ballistic computer that will factor in your position, the direction you are shooting and the rotation of the earth.

Taliban sniper vs M1 Abrams

Tank vs. Sniper | Military.com

The Taliban sniper learned the hard way, you don't bring a sniper rifle to a tank battle no matter what the Mullah says.
