Because, obviously, not all civil rights have to due with race and colored people.

I don't know what definition you apply to civil rights, but you should certainly fix it.

Abortion - I'd say that's a civil rights issue, although it would admittedly fall into somewhat of a gray area.

Patriot Act - Violation of civil rights there. No friggin debate about that one.

Torture - Again, definitely a civil rights issue.

The part in bold is no stereotype. It's a fact.

Election maps

Nope, just calling the GOP on their bull****.
1) Torture (in a time of war) is acceptable.. not a civil rights violation. Abortion is definitely not a civil rights issue

2) No, it is not a fact that the South is more racist

3) Your party is equally full of it as the right is

NAACP Flunks GOP on Civil Rights
After looking at the NAACP's stances on the legislation it used as criteria to grade the lawmakers, a majority of Americans would flunk as well.
This is a good thing.

Really? So you would think it is acceptable for a sovereign nation to torture American POWs?

You're ok with our country violating the Geneva Convention?

As I admitted (and you conveniently ignored), abortion would fall under a gray area. At the very least, it's a civil liberty and in this day and age there isn't a huge distinction between them.

I never said it was a fact that the south is more racist. I said it was fact that the GOP votes red and I attached the voting maps to prove it.

Excellent work, Einstein. Care to try again?

Maybe, but as it stands right now "my party" is the only one that can make a legitimate claim to being "for the people" and "pro-liberty".

1) You should have bolded the part about voting then
2) Your party is in no way concerned with the general welfare of Americans any more than the Republicans are.

With this current crop of Republicans (ie; NeoCons) it's absolutely.

I think it's safe to say, nobody cares about what grade the NAACP assigns them. It's definitely outlived its usefulness as an organization.
