They had things in the original like an extension of the Patriot Act, flood insurance, extensions of unemployment benefits, provisions preventing scheduled cuts in Medicare reimbursements to doctors, extending biodiesel and renewable diesel credits, increasing disclosure requirements for foreign banks, elimination of black liquor tax break, etc.

What the heck is the matter with those people that they can't do a simple bill aimed at creating jobs but instead have to load it up with junk that belongs elsewhere? And that was only the Senate bill. God only knows what's in the House Bill unrelated to creating jobs.

Okay, so then Reid strips the bill down to eliminate the junk and according to CNN Money senators on both sides are unhappy plus I heard yesterday that what's left isn't enough to really make a difference. Well, if what's left is all that was worthy in the original, then the original wasn't really any better.

For crying out loud, haven't they all realized yet that everyone is watching them a lot more closely than before?

Oh, "Reid stripped the bill down to eliminate all the junk"?

That was good, right? Even if it was a D doing it.

This is just the way bills get votes, it's always been like this.

It's excellent that they're being watched more closely now; now we can pinpoint what we're unhappy about with our representation in Congress.
