Obama could present the exact same ideas that Republicans are presenting, and many of the Republicans here would criticize him for it. Republicans only like an idea if it comes from a Republican.
“Since this meeting will be most productive if information is widely available before the meeting, we will post online the text of a proposed health-insurance reform package,” White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius wrote in the invitation to lawmakers
Two things to note in that quote:
1. Now they are subscribing to transparency? Where was that before??
2. Notice it says health-insurance reform package. What happened to health care reform?

The point being that Obama is working with the Dems. again, behind closed doors, prior to the "bi-partisan" meeting to put together a bridge between the two Democrat bills. He is not working with the minority party at all. They have handed them their resolutions and he ignores them.
He is not President of all the people, just those with a (D) after their name. Which is NOT how it has ever been done in this country before. Never, ever to the extent which he is dividing the US.
The Senate re-named it health-insurance reforem when they had to admit "care" has little to do with it. The government wants to take-over the insurance industry in this country and that is what they are bound to do. Your health, my health, is none of Obama's concern. His only concern is the POWER gained by controlling health insurance in the US.

You must not realize how much the health care bills have already been watered down in order to appease conservatives and moderates.
Bipartisanship is a two-way street. Thank goodness that Judd Gregg has given us some hope. He appears to be the only Republican willing to play ball on health care.

We are all just pawns in Obama's game of expanding the role of government.
Sad, really. The democrats will fail to see that and espouse Obama's "perceived" bipartisanship. I'm sure whatever is brought to the table at this bipartisan meeting will look eerily similar to what came out of the house and senate this fall.
