The key words here are "Once-Favored".

Americans are hot-button voters, they vote more against a party than for and issue. It's quite possible that Mr. Obama interpreted his "mandate" incorrectly. Quite possibly the mandate was "give-me-anything-but-the-status-quo" instead of "give-me-a-trillion-dollar-healthcare-plan-during-double-digit-unemployment-and-an-economic-crisis".

Once in office, does not matter if they are Republician or Democrat! they now seem to be a rebel with A CAUSE. And both parties, rebels without a clue. They both need work.
