Ok again if you don't want to ingest chemicals grow your own food, buy organic or go directly to a farm you know. It is not that difficult. I do it. I drive over an hour once a week to a meat and dairy farm, then to a fruit and veggie one. So that I DON'T ingest chemicals. The choices are out there if people care enough to look. Again peoples lack of caring is NOT the drug companies fault. The drug companies treat the illness that are out there, that IS what they are suppose to do.

That is both the doctors fault and the parent for not educating themselves. Has nothing to do with Big Pharma.

Again place the blame where it belongs on the people looking for the easy fix. There would be no need for drug companies to make the drugs if the demand was not there.

How exactly has agro business destroyed our food?

We seem to have lots of obese folks, how bad can the food be?

It's what's in the food. Sugar has been replaced by corn (HFCS).
That's what they fatten up cattle with right before "the kill".
Fast way to fatten and add layers of fat.

Now do you see a connection ?

Obesity equates to healthy food?

There really isn't that big of a difference between the empty calories in sugar and the empty calories in HFCS.

If they do not crack down on them too, this bill is ridiculous and obvious in its real intent. In other countries, they are not even allowed to advertise their drugs on TV.
You do realize that if your hypothesis that "Big Pharma" is this all powerful entity....that you have no chance at all of winning and the bill will pass?

But hey, at least you will be able to blame the republicans right?

Senators McCain and Dorgan have just introduced yet another thinly veiled attempt to criminalize ordinary vitamin pills, proposing give the FDA the power to preemptively and without cause restrict their distribution, deceptively entitled the Dietary Supplement Safety Act, S. 3002. This is the same FDA that routinely waves through dangerous synthetic drugs that kill hundreds of thousands, hardly a recommendation for their administrative prowess. Yet millions of people take natural vitamins and other food supplements in complete safety already. Where is the epidemic of vitamin pill fatalities? There is none.

Stop being so melodramatic. Would you rather have a system like the British NHS, where people die on waiting lists in their masses? The only difference is that the Brits are too dumb to complain, so they take it, like lemmings.

It's a situation that turns drug companies into the "customers" of the FDA. (See related cartoon, The Puppets of Big Pharma)

92 percent agree that pharmaceutical companies should disclose the results of ALL clinical trials, not just the ones with positive results that they wish to publicize. (Currently, drug companies can bury negative drug trials, and the FDA has in fact been caught conspiring with drug companies to keep negative drug data secret from the public.)

You just linked to a hillariously biased site. Why don't we just ask the Klan how Obama is doing as president?

Really, WTH is wrong with you that you think we'd swallow this crap?

Run! Run Forest! Run!
