Angry ALERT! Bush gives himself special directive granting extraordinary powers!

Folks, we need to get on this and I mean now! This is dictatorial powers and was done in secret without congress.

National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive

Bush also has approved detention camps within the US in such "emergencies."

KBR awarded Homeland Security contract worth up to $385M - MarketWatch

Most people on here do not know what this means. That is why this thread has no posts. Its a damn shame at how many clueless people there are in the United States.

I read about this on another board.
Its not surprising at all.......Do you remember in
2004 Bu$h threated to cancel the elections due to
'security reasons' ? At his discretion !?!?!?!? WTF
The detention camps have been in the non-mainstream
news for about a year. Did you see who got the contract ?
wow . Im . shocked .
We had better hope that another country doesnt look at us and
decide that we need to be rescued from our own evil dictator
using the same methodology he used for his con. Will all the real
freedum luvin', family value, yellow ribbon patriots cheer Kim Jong Il
as a great liberator ??

Hey, Marks- not to say we told you so, but we told you so. This is what you get when you vote for presidents based on things like his professed fundamentalist religious convictions.

I love how all the people who tried to portray Hillary Clinton as the spawn of the devil in the other thread all of a sudden disappeared or have not noticed this thread

I have not disappeared. I still think the same bunch of international bankers that own the Bushes have also bought the Clintons. I also believe both of these groups are fond supporters of corporate welfare and industrial socialism

As I understand it, these powers have existed since WWI and all presidents have possessed them. Bush is just restating it in a directive for some stupid reason. I have no idea what he gains by publicizing them or what his motivation is, but he is not granting himself any powers he did not already have.

Another comment - expect some major disaster before the next federal election. One is needed to provide the excuse for extending the Bushistas' rule by "postponing" the next election as "too disruptive during a national emergency of this magnitude". They will say that we cannot afford a democracy during these perilous times and we need the guidance of a “strong and resolute leader”.

The irony of it is that the Bu$h propaganda machine was
working overtime dissminating fake footage of Iraqi's trudging
through ruins and sniper fire to go to the polls and 'vote' for
thier new government.......
Another unsolvable conundrum would be that Bu$h is a
national emergancy/disaster of the highest magnitude....
Does this mean we will never be able to vote again ?!?!?
