And why didn't they support it considering Nelson is a Democrat and Lieberman caucuses with the Democrats. You claim the public option is universally supported including conservative states so why didn't both Senators support it.
The vast majority of Americans have no clue what reconciliation is. If the public option (and health care for in general) passes, the manner in which it passes will be long history in the country the following week. The Dem's in the Senate need to man up and get 'er done.
Most Americans are unfamiliar with reconciliation at the present because it hasn't been an issue thus far. If it should go through reconcilliation, you can rest assured that most Americans will be informed as every media outlet will discuss it ad nauseum.

Nelson has always been quite conservative, Lieberman who the hell knows why, butthis is a guy who campaigned for McCain last year.
I already responded to this from another poster. In short, that's an incredibly biased poll considering the source and even with that said, their results only showed a slight majority of 56%. That is not what I or anyone else would deem an objective study.

So where was the media when Republicans used budget reconciliation for the Bush tax cuts?

Yes, and the reason it hasn't been an issue thus far is because we have never seen the filibuster used to such an extent. Reconciliation or Filibustering the living hell out of every last thing, what do you think will play better with the American public?

Good point. The public wants action. Republicans have given none, especially when they had the power to do something about health care reform.
Did you read the article? The group who conducted the survey was "The Progressive Change Campaign Committee and Democracy for America", could we be any more biased? And even with that being said, they only reported a slight majority with 56% approving it in Arkansas. This is hardly an objective study.
Did you read it? It says it was conducted for the P.C.C.C. & Democracy for America, not conducted by them.
