NEW YORK, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Alleged suicide pilot Joe Stack's attack on a Texas Internal Revenue Service office is bringing out right-wing extremist support, experts say.

"Extremist groups are already aligning behind [Joe Stack], beginning to talk about him as a hero," said Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which studies American militia and hate groups. "The growth of those groups has been astounding."

And again some more news,

Muslim group wants government to call plane attack terrorism.

A leading Muslim advocacy group is pushing government officials to call the suicide plane crash in Texas “an act of terror,” saying that if a Muslim had been flying the plane there would be no hesitancy to call it terrorism.

On Thursday, Andrew Joseph Stack III flew a small plane into the IRS's four-story office building in Austin, killing himself and at least one federal employee.

It's pathetic that you take something horrible like this and politicize it. The VERY small percentage of people that supported this fool are pathetic and are cowards.

You want that thoughts of conservatives? Here: This jacka$$ was a pathetic failure in life and was looking for someone to blame for his failures. He was a coward and a waste of skin. He's a pathetic figure that will be remembered throughout history as a lowlife scum of a human being.

There. Now stop trying to make EVERYTHING political. This was one lunatic idiot that used the IRS as an excuse for his failures.

Those that think this idiot represents a certain political party or movement and try to use this to support their views are pathetic wastes of skin as well.

So sad. Here was a guy that went postal on the IRS. He went there seeking personal revenge for his money problems. But, instead of showing up with a gun like others have that gone postal, he showed up with a plane.

So he's a hero ? A guy that was caught up in financial problems and blamed everyone but himself ?

He is a pathetic loser.

I agree that he was to blame for his situation. The IRS and taxes are a fact of life and many people are doing just fine while they pay their taxes. I heard he had a nice house and he owned his own airplane. Being a pilot is not a cheap hobby. He was doing financially better than most people.

The people in that building were just employees. They probably had nothing to do with his situation. He went after everyday people trying to make a living as a symbolic act.

I'm sure most people hate the IRS, but this was definitely uncalled for.

This is not unlike Timothy McVeigh, going after a government office to make a political statement. Thank god, this guy did kill as many people as the Oklahoma bombing, which was called domestic terrorism.
