As you said, if you film it, it would be considered legal. Why should filming it make the difference of legality?
You're angry because I don't see the same double-standard that you see.
Prostitution is when you hire someone for your own personal sexual gratification.
Producing a porn movie generally requires hiring actors to have sex with each other. It's usually not for the producer's personal sexual gratification. Even if he has sex on camera with the actor he's hired, it's assumed that the primary purpose is to create a movie. If he gets personal sexual gratification out of it, that's secondary.

Would you agree with this definition:
Prostitution: Having sex with someone (usually a stranger) for money.
If you agree with that definition, do you think that act should be illegal?
I agree with the definition. I do not think it should be illegal.

Whether you answered "legal" or "illegal", do you think that filming the act should change your answer?
Filming the act does not change my answer. Both prostitution and producing porn should be legal, in my opinion.

I would say the filming is secondary; the having sex with strangers for money is still a constant.

I agree with you here.
I think you do see the double standard but are just choosing to not call it that. The definition of prostitution "Having sex with someone (usually a stranger) for money" describes a legal act for porn actors, yet it describes an illegal act for everyone else.
The act is the same, whether it's filmed or not; you agree that filming it is an arbitrary factor in its legal status, and should not determine whether the act is considered legal or not. Yet the law is set so that this arbitrary factor does determine whether it's legal or not.
Prostitution is legal. Meet a girl/guy online, take them out to dinner and spend some money on them and you will get access to sex. It's the same as prostitution, except they aren't getting cash, they are getting other goods for their services.
Ok, I managed to read all four pages.
The main point is people dont make laws government does and when you realize this you also should realize you are--sheeple, lemmings, slave and, my favored, third-class-citizen.
Of course it's legal and CUSTOMARY! You are expected to take a woman out to dinner before sex. That IS paying for it. Prostitution comes in many flavors.
Good god, someone drug this thing out of the catacombs. At any rate, I think that whatever transaction grown, consenting adults come up with, should be legal as long as it doesn't physically harm anyone.
