From the news broadcasts I saw, it appears that the rioters were protesting the cuts to be made by the government to the handouts they expected to get.
Apparently they don't care that their country is bankrupt, the government has no money to give them, and they are going to have to suck it up and get by on their own.
Of course, they have been taken care of by the government for so long, they don't know how to get by on their own.
So, they riot.
Like that is going to give the government more money to give to them...
Logic and common sense are in SUCH short supply...

Truly outrageous.

Burdensome regulations and lavish compensation, benefits and pensions for "unions" have virtually destroyed this country.

Democratic socialism at it's finest.
That just about says it. They need to cut the spending. But more than that they need the domestic savings to buy their own debt with.
