Its sad that the U.S. are protecting these warlords and refer to them as the liberators of Afghanistan when they were the main reason Afghanistan got ruined. At least under the Taliban, people who committed these crimes were severly punished.

While, I can agree that there are yet issues and we have a long way to go in Afghanistan, there is NEVER a reason to say "at least under the Taliban"

NEVER

These are brutal people who killed their own for not complying with their insane and asinine religious wackiness.

It is an insult to common decency to say "at least under the Taliban"

Just to be clear with you, the Taliban were the least brutal group among the warlords, these warlords are ten times worse than the Taliban. They killed, kidnapped, raped innocent males & females across Afghansitan, they were responsible for killing up to 63,000 in Kabul alone. Sadly the U.S. welcomed them back as librators and heroes.

The Taliban did not kill their own for not listening to them, don't believe the crap you hear, they might have been illitrate but they were simple people, who did not diffrentiate bettween the rich and poor, both were treated the same way, even senior taliban officials lived like ordinary Afghans, none of them lived in mansions, none of them stole the country's money, they gave away money whenever they can, when they tookover Kabul there was only $200,000 left for the whole country because the brutal warlords stole almost everything with them.

The Taliban as a group were against communists, but they did not kill them because they were not savages the way the media made it sound, these communists also always tried to cause to trouble under their control, thats why they had to watch them carefully, and last but not least they managed to improve Afghanistan as a country, even though Afghanistan faced heavy sanctions, the Taliban still managed to improve Afghansitan.

To be fair, yes the Taliban outlawed it. So has the Kazia gov't. But it was/is practiced under both. The Taliban kept it hidden. Taliban commanders/warloards all had their bacha bazis (dancing boys).

Taliban are Pashtun. The love by men for younger, beautiful males, who are called halekon, is enshrined in Pushtun literature. The practice is ancient and goes back 1000s of years.

A popular poem by the Pushtun Poet Syed Abdul Khaliq Agha, notes Kandahar's special reputation. "Kandahar has beautiful halekon," the poem goes. "They have black eyes and white cheeks."

"women are for children, boys are for pleasure."

The Karzai govt has it illegal on paper but they don't implement this law, if you watch this vid you will see that these pedophiles are well protected, they're untouchable because they've got connections. Having a boy, means you're a respectful powerful figure, again a lot of westerners would not be able to understand these kind of things.

As for the Taliban, yes im not going to deny that, some commanders did have bacha bazis, but the good thing about them is that they severly punished anyone who had one. So things were under control, people thought twice before having sex with a child. These dances are common in the north anyways, there is similar dances in the south, but the Taliban influence is still strong in the south thats why people are not falling for it.

Pashtun Taliban didn't enforce that fatwa, Orthodox Islamic Arabic Al Qaeda did.

The Taliban didn't, those who the Taliban employed with power didn't. It was the down-trudden Afghani citizens (usually non-pashtun) who suffered and paid the price for an ancient tradition - for better or worse and nevertheless still backass: http://gay-persons-of-color.blogspot...-kandahar.html.

And I want to point this out: Repression of sexuality. It is so haram in these backass pre-medieval islamic lots that women can't dance so instead they (in some cases kidnap and) dress up/makeup young male tweens/twinks before forcing them to dance and submit to other types of pederasty.

The Taliban released every fatwa, but sometimes they were helped by arabs to make the decision.

No, the Taliban treated almost every Afghan the same, they did not diffrentiate bettween the rich and poor, in these cases they were 10 times better than the current government, even the Kabulis and other ordinary afghans today admit that. Actulley some Taliban fighters got amptutated for stealing or even executed for commting rape or murder, the Taliban were fair. Thats why their fighters were always discplined, they know how to treat the locals nicely and people give them credit for that, because if they make a mistake they will face consequences, today Mullah Omar fires governors with a whiff of corruption. Im not saying they were perfect, but overall they were better than Karzai's government.
