Wasn't the quote "yes, I'm reminded of that everyday".

I think Obama is keeping the divide there on purpose and making even wider sometimes.
Just my opinion based on what I read every time he says he's striving for bipartisianship.

Yes, with 30 million + one illness away from bankruptcy or death, who "owned" who is a critical discussion. Keep your eye on the ball, folks.

So, these Republican behemoths of finance, and such will be able to cover all of us 100% in health care for free ? wow.

Anthony Wiener summed it up in a few sentences...

The Republicans really are just a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry.

Yesterday’s summit made it clear. They want to destroy Medicare, let costs skyrocket, and shovel more cash to their corporate overlords
.

Republicans are part of the health care problem – not the solution. It’s time for us to stop negotiating with them and getting nothing in return.

You need to quit reading the liberal talking points and ask yourself how this could happen. No one dies in the U.S. from lack of health care. Nearly any emergency room in the country will treat a sick person, regardless of ability to pay. And nearly all hospitals will take minimum monthly payments.

Ahh, another uninformed posting quoting another unknown individual, who ignores the fact that

1) The insurance industry SUPPORTS the bill because it means more customers for them
2) The insurance industry gave more money to Democrats than Republicans
3) The insurance industry would get MORE business from the Democratic plan, than the Republicans, because the government contracts their part of the bill out to "private insurance companies"

Start thinking for yourself rather than posting lord knows who proving ignorance of many of those on the left..

30 million + will STILL have to file bk if they got sick with a UHC in place. People file bk because they cant pay for OTHER bills, their mortgages, their car payments, their credit cards. UHC changes NONE of this...
