We already know they violated the law with regard to FOI requests, now this inquiry is gearing up, with some heavy hitters weighing in.

UK Parliament - S&T CRU inquiry

The disclosure of climate data from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia

Committee announcement

On 22 January the Science and Technology Committee announced an inquiry into the disclosure of climate data from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia. Commenting on the material which the Committee has received since the announcement the Chairman, Phil Willis MP, said:
One submission;

Uncorrected Evidence 39

Memorandum submitted by the Institute of Physics (CRU 39)

Definitely NOT a vote of confidence. A very harsh condemnation.

Quote:
1. The Institute is concerned that, unless the disclosed e-mails are proved to be forgeries or adaptations, worrying implications arise for the integrity of scientific research in this field and for the credibility of the scientific method as practised in this context.

5. The e-mails reveal doubts as to the reliability of some of the reconstructions and raise questions as to the way in which they have been represented; for example, the apparent suppression, in graphics widely used by the IPCC, of proxy results for recent decades that do not agree with contemporary instrumental temperature measurements.
Incredible statement, #1 that is.

This really is the gist of it. The RAW data show NO warming. It is only the "massaged", "homogenized", "embellished" data that results in a BFD of .4 over 100 years.

The hoax - completely unraveling.

Steve McIntyres submission;

Quote:
To my knowledge, there are no 1000-year reconstructions which are truly "independent" of CRU influence. In my opinion, CRU has manipulated and/or withheld data with an effect on the research record. The manipulation includes (but is not limited to) arbitrary adjustment ("bodging"), cherry picking and deletion of adverse data.
Nor anyone else's knowledge. It ALL comes back to the CRU and the circle of cabalists both in and out of the CRU.

I believe a Republican Legislator is seeking to have investigations and committee hearings concerning global/whatever conducted to uncover the fraud that is being perpetrated.

Sen. Inhofe.

At least 2 states and Duke energy are filing lawsuits against the EPA for the "endangerment finding" of AIR.

How many of us were taught that Co2 was a good, good thing for the planet, the lifeblood of the planet, that without it, the world as we know it would DIE?

sanrere !!! ... Good One !

Better Watch Out Or That Old GW Is Gonna Get You !

If Ole Al Gore would just come out of seclusion I am sure that he would address all our inquiries regarding this pitifully embarrassing mess !

It would be hoped that a few of the other members of the "Towering Intellectual" Lefty Politician Club whom promoted this pathetic "Smoke & Mirrors" scheme, would immediately leave the country and perhaps not return !

How's that old GW workin out fer yawl anyhows ???

Thanks / Lamar

Actually, The Goreacle was spotted at an Apple meeting and summarily ridiculed. These fanatics have relied on each other for years to spread the fear mongering word - they are finally getting their due.

Al Gore a lightning rod at Apple shareholder meeting | Circuit Breaker - CNET News

Quote:
Gore "has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted," Ehrlich said, referring to Gore's views on global warming. "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected."

And the hits just keep coming for Jones and the cabal at the CRU;

Uncorrected Evidence 47

Royal Society of Chemistry, Royal Statistical Society and the Institute of Physics all submit letters to the parliament investigating CRU - and find their excuses lacking.

The Final Straw « Watts Up With That?

According to Phil Jones, the leader of the disgraced CRU cabal, it is "standard practice" for scientists to NOT share their data, unless of course you are a "friendly" asking to see the data.

If you are interested in reproducing his results...forget it.

Total disgrace.

I wonder why you never see anyone who doesn't believe Global Warming is occurring do a study?

They never seem to do their own independent work. They just whine that other scientists won't let them see theirs...
