Not one to back down, he says, what's a few mistakes, Global Warming is still happening and is the greatest danger to humanity. Please continue to give him money as before, do not look around or research for yourself. The prophet of profit has declared that deniers and heretics be shunned, that is, anyone who disagrees with the Goracle.

Op-Ed Contributor - We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change - NYTimes.com

Of course you can't wish it away, the climate has always changed and always will, whether or not you give your money to hypocrites like Gore.

My favorite couple of lines are:

Hurricanes will be bigger and stronger, just less of them. LOL, a couple of years ago, they were saying that the record setting number of hurricanes was due to global warming

The big snowfalls and rain events are because of more evaporation from the ocean due to warming. Before they were saying that the globe was going to turn into a giant desert, frying from warming.

CO2 is a pollutant, except that plants THRIVE in a CO2 rich environment and there is plenty of evidence to support that. During certain prehistoric era's CO2 was MANY TIMES higher than today. Why do you think there were SO MANY LARGE HERBIVORES (dinosaurs). The plant life was abundant enough to support such large creatures, not like today. Professional farmers use it in greenhouses to increase plant growth. http://www.homeharvest.com/carbondioxideenrichment.htm

SAMPLE RESULTS FROM CO2 ENRICHMENT STUDIES
BIBB LETTUCE
By adding CO2 to the atmosphere around the plant, a 40% crop increase was achieved. Whereas previous crops averaged 22 heads per basket, lettuce grown in the increased CO2 atmosphere (550 ppm) averaged 16 heads of better quality per basket.

CARNATIONS
CO2 levels to 550 ppm produced an obvious increase in yield (over 30%), but the greatest benefits were earlier flowering (up to 2 weeks) with an increased percentage of dry matter.

ROSES
The addition of controlled carbon dioxide provided a remarkable improvement in blossom quality, number and yield. Plants consistently produced many more flowers with 24 to 30 inch stems. Average yield was increased by 39.7%.

TOMATOES
Work in experimental stations has shown that crop increases of as much as 29% have been obtained by increasing the CO2 concentration. More desirable firmness and more uniform ripening are also observed.

It is truly pointless to argue with zealots as you can not make a person believe what they don't WANT to believe.

Al Gore is one man who brought attention to something that thousands of scientists all across the world have proven has been ongoing for decades.

However, the very name Al Gore triggers an immediate slobber response to climate change deniers who get their "science" and "facts" concerning this subject from "experts" like Sen. Inhofe of Oklahoma, former Governor Sarah Palin, and, of course, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh.

The Dumbing Down of America continues to accelerate like a runaway train.....

Its the wave off argument.

A "few" mistakes is simply an understatement to continue his agenda. This way he can avoid having to answer for the mistakes because he admits to them and then continues on with his diatribe.

Those mistakes are key to the issue as they underline the problems with the data, methodology, and process. His statement is like saying there is a "few" mistakes in the formula, but the answer is still right while never attending to the issues those mistakes create.

This is more of the same. When "mistakes" were brought up concerning the research early on in this issue, the researchers who were being audited simply replied that it was a small mistake, but didn't change the end result. They were wrong which is why the emails are significant. The further they went on without attending to their errors, the more they had to manipulate, stone wall, and bully to retain their position. It is never simply one lie that a liar must deal with, rather numerous lies that are needed to defend the first lie.

To ignore the warnings, is potential suicide. If the warnings are wrong, action results in new industry. If the warnings are correct, action results in new industry as well as potentially saving our lives. Gee, I wonder what we should do.

The hoax is unraveling at an alarming pace. The IPCC is going to be investigated, the CRU is under investigation, the Met Office is "doing over" 160 years of temperature data, the UN Head of CC has resigned, the corruption of Pachauri is coming to light every day, the 4th IPCC report is riddled with errors and fantastic claims that can't be backed up by science...the list goes on and on.

What sort of action do you propose? Cap and Trade does nothing to quell pollution. The only effects it will have is the obvious outsourcing of jobs at an even greater extent, puts the US at an even greater economic disadvantage, and raises everyone's heating/cooling costs by thousands per year. So what do you propose we do?

I recognize your dumbing down comment. Wasn't Gore himself a lifetime politician and Senator? And now he's publishing in the New York Times? Isn't that like pandering to the lowest common dumbass?

That's a lot of liberal b.s.

America is one of the world's most highly educated countries, yet we're dumb because we can think and read for ourselves and don't buy the claptrap being peddled by con artists like Al Gore.

Al Gore and his ilk are a far greater threat to this country and it's economic security than the very uncertain "science" of "global warming."

Acting on ignorance is foolish. Promoting the action of ignorance through the use of urgency is lunacy.

Hilarious!

How easily you totally ignore that The Goreacle has become a very wealthy man pushing his AGW agenda on the globe while at the same time investing in those entities that will benefit from governments the world over adopting his agenda.

Talk about a corrupt conflict of interest.
